Shotgun 101: Introductory Workshop for Beginners & New Certificate Holders

Join us at Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground for a hands-on workshop designed for those new to clay/game shooting or looking to obtain their certificate. This in-person workshop This workshop covers everything you need to know about shotgun safety, proper handling, transportation, and maintenance, based on Home Office and Police guidelines.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through the essentials, ensuring you attain the foundational knowledge required to handle a shotgun safely and responsibly.

What You’ll Learn:

Basic shotgun safety principles
Proper handling and operation
Safe transportation procedures
Cleaning and maintenance

Saturday Air Gun Field Target Dates

Our air gun range is open every week Tues-Sat 10am-4pm, but the field targets throughout the wood (found on the clay stands) are restricted to when we are not open for clays, as follows:

- - Tuesdays 10am-4pm
  - Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 2pm-4pm

Plus the field targets, situated on the clay shooting stands around the ground, every other Saturday (when not clay shooting) 10am-4pm.

Christmas Opening 2024

- - Sunday December 22nd – Open
  - Wednesday 25th – Closed
  - Thursday 26th – Closed
  - Friday 27th – Closed
  - Saturday 28th – Open
  - Sunday 29th – Open
  - Monday 30th – Closed
  - Tuesday 31st – Open (no open practice: lessons only)
  - Wednesday 1st January – Closed
  - Thursday 2nd January onwards, normal opening times resumes

We are OPEN for clay shooting 50 bird shoot at our sister ground on the following Sundays:
