Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground Air Rifle Safety Range Rules

• It is expected that all those involved in shooting shall conduct themselves in a safe and respectable manner
• Admission fee receipts should be retained as individuals will be randomly asked to show these to range representatives
• All shooting shall be restricted to the range designated stations only
• Air guns shall always be kept unloaded and un-cocked when not in use
• Air guns shall only be loaded and cocked when you are ready to engage target
• When not in use air guns shall always be carried muzzle pointing down, which also includes air rifles carried on a sling, alternatively the air rifle shall be carried in a sleeve / bag
• With the exception of the HFT style range shooters may access the other ranges to set up their own targets
• Before accessing the range to set up own target’s shooters shall ensure all other shooters are aware and that they have visually discharged and made save their air guns prior to resting these and they are not touched until range is safe and clear
• In the event of a blockage or other malfunction the loaded / cocked air gun shall remain pointed in the direction of the targets while the problem is investigated and subsequently discharged into the ground at a safe distance
• When using the HFT style range shooters are not permitted to step past the blue and orange painted target location posts into the target area
• When using the HFT style range those shooters with multi shot removable magazines must ensure their air gun is in a visually safe condition before moving between target locations. Air guns shall only be loaded and cocked when you are ready to engage targets
• Where groups of shooters use the HFT style range only one member at a time shall engage the target
